Gravel and Chippings

The majority of our gravel and chippings are suitable for driveways and are identified with the Driveways icon.

For durability and stability, we recommend 14-20mm angular chippings. These interlock more effectively than rounded stones, providing a firmer surface that is less prone to movement underfoot or with vehicle use.

Decorative aggregates are low-maintenance, provide excellent drainage and create a stable, long-lasting surface that looks great year-round.

Due to the porosity of a gravel surface, weeds can unfortunately find their way through.

For a long-lasting, weed-free garden gravel project, it’s recommended to install a quality weed membrane or landscape fabric over the bare soil before laying down the gravel. The gravel should be thick enough to prevent seeds from germinating. Ensure that the fabric is completely covered for a seamless, beautiful finish.
