With over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry, Shane brings exceptional expertise to his role as National Sales Director at Long Rake Spar.

Throughout his career, Shane has held senior sales positions at Marshalls, Namgrass and Talasey, building a reputation for strategic leadership and commercial excellence. His contributions earned him a place on the Top 100 Influencers in the Supply Field and he is a member of the Worshipful Company of Builders Merchants, reflecting his industry standing.

Outside of work, Shane is a proud grandparent who enjoys exploring the countryside in his campervan, following football and spending time with his Cockapoo.

With over 20 years of experience in the landscape industry, Andy brings comprehensive product knowledge and strong regional relationships to his role at Long Rake Spar.

Throughout his career, Andy has held positions at industry-leading suppliers including Bradstone, Pavestone, Global Stone and Trex. He is well known and respected throughout the north of England and Scotland. Andy’s experience makes him a valuable member of our team.

Outside of work, Andy has a passion for performing (also known as the singing salesman) and once auditioned for London’s production of Phantom of the Opera.

Cate joined Long Rake Spar in November 2019, bringing valuable experience from her previous role as Sales Manager with brick manufacturer All About Bricks.

Her background in the building materials sector and customer-focused approach have made her an integral part of the team. Cate’s industry understanding, combined with her commitment to delivering excellent service, ensures our clients receive expert guidance and support.

Outside of work, Cate has a passion for live music and interior design. With a creative background that includes auditioning for Drama School in London, she brings enthusiasm to everything she does.

Dan joined Long Rake Spar in March 2024, bringing a decade of experience working with builders’ merchants across the industry.

Throughout his career at companies including James Hardie and CTD Tiles, Dan has developed strong relationships with independent merchants, whom he considers the backbone of the industry. His understanding of merchant needs and commitment to building lasting partnerships make him a natural fit for our team.

Outside of work, Dan is a passionate sports fan with a particular love for football. When his kids allow him some free time, he can be found watching as much football as possible!

Alistair joins the team with a strong track record in the construction and merchant sector. Having held roles with leading businesses including Travis Perkins, Jewson and Sika, he brings valuable industry knowledge and a clear understanding of customer expectations. Honest, reliable and approachable, Alistair builds long-term partnerships founded on trust. He takes pride in supporting customers at every stage, combining commercial focus with genuine empathy to deliver consistent service and dependable results.

Alistair is married with two children. He enjoys weekends outdoors with his family and cocker spaniel, exploring the beach or working on his golf handicap. A keen sports and music fan, he rarely sits still for long.

Paul brings extensive experience in the landscaping and aggregates sector to his role at Long Rake Spar.

Throughout his career, Paul has held positions at respected industry names including Talasey and Tarmac, where he developed comprehensive knowledge of landscaping materials and packed aggregates. His industry expertise and dedication to customer service make him a valued member of our team.

Outside of work, Paul is an adventurer at heart. His passion for exploration and challenge led him to trek to Everest Base Camp, demonstrating the determination and resilience he brings to everything he undertakes.
