Long Rake Spar were approached by DekorGrip to supply specialist dried aggregates into their surfacing system at Tipner Park and Ride.
The project was part of Portsmouth Council’s redevelopment of the Tipner area and demanded a hard wearing yet aesthetically pleasing surface which could meet the high traffic requirements of the area.
With this is mind the council specified Dekorgrip’s Natural Wicker surfacing at a depth of 18mm, which uses Long Rake Spar’s Grantex aggregates in a uniquely coloured blend. With the park and ride facility expected to see heavy use, the maintenance and, in particular, cleaning of the facility was of utmost importance to the council who wanted to make sure that the facility remained an attractive city asset for years to come.
The clear colour and professional finish of the Natural Wicker surface means that the completed scheme provides a valuable asset for the city.
