Long Rake Spar were incredibly impressed with the resin bonded surfacing laid by Addagrip approved contractor True Grip Ltd in Peninsula Square, Winchester.
True Grip were invited to install a total of 2,681m2 of resin bonded gravel to rejuvenate roadways at the former Peninsula Barracks in Hampshire.
The historic Ministry of Defence site was partly relinquished in 1994 for private residential use with the area of the former parade ground landscaped and renamed Peninsula Square.
True Grip were asked to install a decorative, hard wearing aggregate surface to the new tarmacadam roadways for residential areas and the adjacent Gurkha Museum.
In keeping with the heritage of this site, Addastone resin bonded surfacing was selected in a custom-made blend. This bespoke aggregate blend was created using decorative aggregates from Long Rake Spar’s Grantex Range. The blend was designed to complemented the red brick properties.
Addastone Resin Bonded gravel provides the look of loose aggregate without the maintenance issues and offers a durable paving option with good slip resistance, suitable for vehicular traffic and pedestrian use alike.
