The rejuvenation of the communal rear garden of Oakwood house by SureSet Permeable Paving was a project Long Rake Spar are pleased to have been a part of.
This well-established residential community was erected in 2004 and over the years has seen the young trees planted mature and block the sunlight which stops the grass from growing properly. As the area was always muddy it prevented children from playing there.
To resolve this problem SureSet were requested to replace the existing 95m² grassed area with SureSet permeable resin bound paving which was perfect for the project as the material is finished with no loose stones and is ideal for children, bicycles, disabled access etc. and is permeable to water.
Long Rake’s natural light, bright aggregates are utilised within SureSets popular shade of Barley Beach, which was specified to replace the grass because it created a dry and safe place, enabling the residents and the children to use the area all year round.
