Long Rake Spar are thrilled their aggregates were chosen to help in the refurbishment of Hampshire Terrace.
One of the major connecting walkways between the University of Portsmouth and the city centre was in major need of refurbishment; wear and tear was becoming a major issue, so the rejuvenation of the surrounding areas was paramount. The old surface consisted mainly of tarmac and paving slabs. The deterioration had created many trip hazards, and aesthetically it let down the whole area.
DekorGrip Resin Bound was selected as the primary solution and was used to great effect to upgrade the whole area with their Natural Wicker blend. In order to create a more bespoke and beautiful finish, the Coral Flair blend was also utilised and was laid in a ribbon shape through the middle of the design.
Long Rake Spar’s beautiful natural aggregates helped to create the different colours of resin bound paving that weave through the centre of the pavement.
Designed to provide a pleasant surrounding for gathering students, the surface was also warmly welcomed by local business as it created a far better seating area for their customers.
