Long Rake Spar were delighted to support Addagrip at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower show by donating aggregates to two of the stands they were surfacing.
Addagrip’s Resin Bound Terrabase Rustic product in their Rustic Oak blend was used on the award winning Chilstone Stand designed by Ali Dempster of Sandstone Design. The Wallgarden stand required Addagrip’s Terrabase Rustic in their Beach Blend.
Chilstone, based near Tunbridge Wells in Kent, specialise in the creation of beautiful hand crafted architectural stone work and garden ornaments. The Chilstone stand incorporated Addagrip’s Resin Bound surfacing, installed by True Grip Ltd for the floor space as a backdrop to Chilstone’s stunning stone features.
Chilstone loved the Terrabase Rustic porous resin bound system that was supplied for last year’s stand and Ali Dempster chose the same Rustic Oak blend recently installed for his project at The Spa Hotel, Tunbridge Wells (featured on the back wall of the stand) to provide a smooth, decorative, paving that welcomes visitors onto the stand.

Addagrip approved contractor E Williams Landscapes was delighted to be asked to help out with the resin bound surfacing requirement for the Wallgarden stand at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Following their successful debut at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2018, winning a 5 star award, Wallgarden, in collaboration with multi-award winning designer Sarah Eberle, returned for 2019 in a prime location on Main Avenue.
Their playhouses and interactive garden nurture creativity and childhood imagination – a key theme for the show this year, which heralds the benefits of families and communities getting back to nature and the positive impact it has on their wellbeing.
The garden for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2019 showcased two playhouses – ‘The London Shop’ and ‘The Hampshire Cottage’ which sits in bountiful gardens designed by Sarah Eberle.
Surfacing around The Hampshire Cottage needed to be sympathetic to the playhouse and kitchen garden environment. Terrabase Rustic resin bound paving in a Beach blend was chosen with hard wearing aggregates donated by Long Rake Spar.
Nadine Charlton from Wallgarden was delighted with the surface advising that it was perfect for pathways in their garden and commented that the Terrabase Rustic really appealed to keen gardeners who wanted the rustic look and finish of gravel without the movement of loose material, particularly around planting.
Wallgarden were thrilled to once again achieve a 5 Star Award for their stunning stand.
Decorative aggregates from Long Rake Spar’s Grantex range were used within the rein bound surfacing on both stands.
