Caernarfon Promenade

Long Rake Spar were approached by Coatech to supply aggregate to their project on Caernarfon Promenade installing a new surface dressing to improve the aesthetic of the area from Victoria Dock to the Albert Arms Pub.

A combination of colours using Brittany Bronze, Silver Grey Granite and Black Basalt mix designs were used in various locations. Designs such as bicycles, directional arrows and compasses were incorporated into the surface over the entire site.

As the new development was going to attract a large amount of visitors, the surface was laid at 18mm thick to accept vehicular traffic. Aluminium edging was used as a feature to seperate the designs and logos in the surface to provide a crisp modern edge.Overall around 3000m² was laid in a very short timescale to reopen the promenade for the Easter holidays.
